Men dom är ju gjorde som en slags hyllning till McCoy i TOS. Det var ju han som verkligen slängde sig med sådana. Som T ex "I'm a Doctor, not a bricklayer..." från avsnittet Devil in the Dark.

Att sedan plocka ut ett eller två favoritcitat ur hundratals timmar med Star Trek är förstås omöjligt. Men ett som genast dyker upp är Rikers från GEN: "Speak for yourself, I plan to live forever!", mest för att Riker är en karaktär jag identifierar mig med.

Ett annat citat som är bland topp-5 är Kirks i TFF. Men då krävs att man ser scenen där de möter "Gud". Alla står mållösa och vördnadsfulla. Till och med Spock vägrar ana ugglor i mossen. Vad gör Kirk då? Jo, han vågar gå fram och sätta sig upp mot "Gud" med meningen: "WHat does God need with a starship!"

Dessutom kan man debattera huruvida han verkligen svor. Här säger han ju bara att han skulle ha svurit om han var människa. ;)

"Beam me up Scotty" är ingen Star Trek-replik.

Repliken är påhittad och har förekommit i flera andra filmer (t.ex. Armagedon).

Jag vet inte hur myten uppstod men den kan ha sin grund i ett annat citat:
