"That's a really, really great flying episode for Travis. Travis has to steer the Enterprise through a live minefield. And there's a mine attached to the ship.
That was a lot of fun for me to do, a lot of fun for me to do. It was incredible to shoot and really intense. It's my favorite episode for Travis so far this season and maybe going back to last season. I'm at [my post], and any shaking that was done was minor. We [the actors] did some shaking, and the camera did some shaking—but what are we talking about? Travis didn't hit any of the mines! Of course not. You don't have to worry about that. He pilots that thing nicely, if I can speak on behalf of Travis, as only I can."
"The one we are just shooting now talks about how the ship is so terribly damaged that we need to get repairs done immediately. We go to a repair facility that turns out to have a secret."
"It's a terrific episode. There is this space station that is used for repairs and we are desperately seeking someone to help us fix the ship because we're too far away from any known facility. We arrive and it appears to be computerized and they agree to fix the ship. They appear to be doing remarkable work and seem to be asking for little in return. And then of course there's a mysterious twist as we realize there is something sinister afoot!"
Dear Doctor
"One of our best episodes. I liked the pacing, I liked the theme, I liked the fact that it became a Prime Directive episode toward the end and I liked the character work. For me it was a perfect Enterprise."
Sleeping Dogs
"Candidly, I didn't like it. There are people around here who think it's a great action adventure. My problem with it is that it relied on a techno solution at the end. At that point I feared that maybe we shouldn't be going back to Klingons so soon."
Acquisition
"It was not entirely successful. There were some stabs at humor that fell flat, but others that worked. We set out to do a romp there, and I'd say we hit half the time. In terms of continuity, we were careful to make sure humans never did find out who they were and their name was never used. I saw more shit being given about our using the Ferengi before it aired than after. We almost didn't do this episode because we weren't sure it would fit well with continuity, but we decided to give it a whirl anyway."
"I've read (co-executive producer) Brannon Braga commenting that he liked the Andorian episodes and is very open to having the Andorians return. I've also talked to a couple of the writers, and there have been ... unofficial assurances that Shran would show up."Berättar han för Ian Spelling från New York Times.
"I'd also heard, just after we did the Ferengi episode, that the producers really liked it, so the Enterprise might run into the Ferengi again at some point. So the options are wide open."
"I’ve got a great episode coming up right now, episode three of the second season called ‘Minefield.’ I’m learning the lines like crazy at the moment -- I’m outside the ship and trying to defuse a mine. And then it all goes wrong man! I don’t know if I’m coming back for episode four!"
"We’re shooting it right now. It’s a great episode, it really bonds Captain Archer and Malcolm Reed, we have a lot of scenes together. It’s kind of ‘Shuttlepod One’ but with the captain outside rather [than trapped together with Reed]. I haven’t seen the sets, [but] it’s a great episode, you’re going to like it!"
"We meet the Romulans for the first time, and I have NO idea who they are!"
"We've only been back for a week, so I haven't really talked to Brannon [Braga]. I have talked to some of the writers, and they've told me what's coming up, just in the near future, just the next couple of episodes, not for the whole season."berättade hon i en intervju, hon lade även till:
"I like to be surprised. I've talked to the writers about where I'm at, but they don't know either. That's their work. They're figuring it out as they go along. They have a good idea of the major points they want to hit, but within that, there's a lot of room to come up with spontaneous ideas or to try things out and see if that's a direction they want to go."
"We're very conscious of what's come before, and we always try to respect it. We're all fans of the other series, and we enjoy tossing in a future reference, even if only a handful of viewers will get it. I think Phyliss and I have dropped in more references in our scripts than anyone else this year. We mentioned the Malurians, Tellarites, Coridan. We even dropped in Spock's hometown of Shikahr from the animated series."
"The Klingons are a race I imagine we'll revisit. The staff has talked about showing their evolution into the 'smooth headed' and more cutthroat Klingons of the TOS era. I don't know about the smooth foreheads, but I'd be interested in finding out why the Klingons never talked about honor in all the years Kirk dealt with them," Sussman posits. "They really seemed much more interested in glory and treachery than honor in those days. Maybe they found the whole 'honor' thing wasn't working for them. There are so many ways to go with the Klingons. I think the least interesting choice is to show them behaving in exactly the same way as they will in the 24th century, and I think we were a little guilty of that this season."
"Meeting the Ferengi was probably one of the more controversial choices this season, but I think we structured the show in a way that preserves Picard's first contact with them. Besides, every DS9 fan knows Earth's real first contact with the Ferengi was in Roswell in 1947!"
Lite sent kanske men ändå. Art Asylum släppte för ett tag sen sina Enterprise-figurer i Broken Bow-serien till affärerna. I Broken Bow-serien så ingår Captain Archer, Sub-Commander T´Pol, Lieutenant Reed, Ensign Mayweather, Klingonen Klaang och Sulibanen Silik."I will begin directing another episode of Enterprise at the end of July. I am very much looking forward to returning to work with this wonderful cast and crew."I förra säsongen så var det Dawson som besämde i avsnitten The Andorian Incident och Vox Sola.
